Richard Oakes founded Mer-Tech in 2007.

Having seen the rewards of his hard work by becoming an award winning fully qualified diagnostic technician at a Mercedes-Benz dealership, Richard began to think about what to do next... after toying with the idea of going alone for a number of years (as a lot of people do), Richard saw an opportunity in the market to open his own garage using his many years experience and skills learnt within the dealership to enable him to specialise in the service, repair and diagnosing of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.  This is where the idea of Mer-Tech began...

After pulling in the pounds and pence from the copper jars the dream seemed a far out cry and one that many people would have put to bed but the urge and desire to fulfill this dream made Richard all the more determined to make it happen.
